I am a firm believer in the saying, "Experience is the best teacher." Not to be cliche, or the lame who spits out quotes, but honestly when someone asks, "Who are you?" My mind immediately refers back to the questions, what have you done & where have you been? Those questions shed light on your experiences, your success, & your failures.
See I've been spoiled, I've been neglected, I've been hungry, & I've been privileged. I've yearned, I've adapted, I've developed, & I've survived. I've stolen, I've lied, I'ved consumed poison, & I've educated. I've cared for & I've nourished.
I feel like I have seen both sides of life, from the extreme wealth & opulence that comes with SMU, to the destitution & struggle, that comes with my family background. I've witnessed waste & I've witnessed meal rationing, & that's what makes me who I am today. I've fallen somewhere in the middle between the two opposite extremes, & I'm thankful for that. Why? Because of awareness. Something that is as under-rated as finding deals & steals on craigslist.
Thought I'd give a little basic biographical information, if all else failed.
My name is Gabriel O'brien Towles, & if you're curious I am not irish. I guess my parents just thought it'd be cool to give me an obscure Irish middle name. I'm from Nashville, Tennessee & sadly I have some of the greatest hate for country music. However, I'm still waiting on someone to prove me wrong & show me a country tune that blows me away. But until then, I'm standing by my animosity.
P.S. Don't forget to live, & not just exist
